SODEWS Residential Specialized Training Center (RSTC), Vellore, Tamil Nadu India

The RSTC program has been run by the Society for the Development of Weaker Sections (SODEWS) since 2009, and has helped children, mostly from tribal and most backward communities, who have no easy access to schools. Started with the funding of the government, both Centre and the state, the program has since cuts in the budget. The program currently supports boarding about 75 students, and schooling for an additional 25 students. The project proposal and site visit report by Jay Jaykumar are available below.
